NEW CAR...SHIT!!
I've gotta buy a new car for my new job. I should be more excited but I've never really been into cars except in the literal sense and that usually involves me being in someone else's car either Lee's or Donovaan's.

Anyway, I've narrowed my search down to these:

1. Honda Accord Euro
2. Subaru Liberty or RS Wagon
3. Audi A4
4. Saab 9-3

IPOD SOFTWARE
I bought the 15GB iPod and I must say that it is awesome! My only gripe is that I have already filled it and feel that I should have known this and purchased the 40GB pod. It was difficult to justify spending $800 on the 40gig version particularly given the batteries are said to die after 18 months.

I've been searching for software that can copy music that is on my ipod to my PC. I'm running win2k and I have found a number of 3rd party software that do this. I am a fan of iTunes but Apple prevented the ability to copy songs from iPod to PC presumably to slow the proliferation of MP3 copying. This explanation doesn't hold as much weight given that you can copy your music library to unlimited number of iPods, but anyway, the fact that I can't do it with iTunes led me to sample a number of others. Here's my overview:

1. PodUtil. This works fine. The only problem is that you have to click each individual song you want to move across and since I have over 2,500 songs, it would take a while. You can do a select all but this will end up duplicating songs.

2. XPlay. I thought this would be better and it's integration into Windows Explorer is easy to use. But I had real problems dragging files across from my iPod to PC. Some files I could see on my iPod but when I went to drag it (along with the other 12 tracks that were part of the whole album) it couldn't find one track and refused to drag any of them. So I ended up doing alot manually.

3. EphPod. I am downloading this tonight at home so I'll keep you posted.

Is there anything worse than a cramp in your foot when you swim? I went for a swim today and my cramp came back. Fishboy told me it may be from lack of water so I took a water bottle, left it at the poolside and took sips every few laps, but it didn't solve the problem. I did find an article here that recommends stretching the foot (which I do). Maybe I need to eat more bananas. Help me Rhonda!!!

Some good news is that I have finally found a pair of goggles that don't leak. It is the Aqua Sphere Seal Mask which is like a cross between a diving mask and swimming gogg. They are a bit bulky but the vision is superb and they keep water out of your eyes, which is something all goggs promise to do, but none have yet been able to deliver. I am absolutely sold on these even if I look like a bit of a tool!

I watched the 17th Aria Awards last night and I must say that I actually enjoyed it. Especially seeing John Farnham absolutely humbled by his Hall of Fame award. I thought that old Johnny had an easy life but I get the feeling that he has struggled through his life somewhat and taken some big risks to get to where he is. That shit's cool!!

Of course it was all Delta's night with 8 Arias.

However I do feel that Pete Murray should have won best new artist album for Feeler which is a sensational album. And Something for Kate deserved to win album of the year for the Official Fiction. Those guys can't buy an Aria.

Not that it makes much difference to us PC users, but Apple have finally released iTunes for PC. With this software, Apple have sensibly accepted the fact that if they are going to really get into online music, they need to focus on PC users that outnumber Apple users by about 100 to one. It's interesting news, but I'm pretty happy with my Windows Media Player and Winamp. It's all a little too late which is par for the course for Apple. However, the iPod remains on my wishlist.
